Ted McGeen

Originally from Windsor, Ontario – Ted moved to Halifax after wrapping up his professional hockey career. Before his professional career, Ted was a two-time member of the NCAA Division 1 Academic All American Team during his time at St. Lawrence University. He completed his Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree at the University of Guelph. Ted attributes his diligence, work ethic and desire to be great teammate to his years spent competing on and off the ice. Ted’s love of sports is now displayed through unrelenting belief that the Toronto Maple Leafs will win a Stanley Cup, golf, men’s league hockey, and running both power-skating and skill development for minor hockey players.

Ted started his insurance career with a small family brokerage in Halifax, where he was able to build up his fundamental knowledge and establish meaningful relationships in the industry. As a Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker, he is able to address client needs at a sophisticated level and synthesize solutions in a timely fashion. Since joining BIG, Ted has focused on Commercial Insurance needs and will continue to focus his energy on providing clients with the highest level of care.
