Operations Administrator

Billyard Insurance Group is seeking an Operations Administrator to join our growing team at Head Office in Welland.  This role is responsible for all day-to-day operational duties including building and equipment maintenance, monitoring inventory, and running errands.  This position may also contribute to other projects as needed. Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the office condition and arrange necessary repairs
  • Review and update current operations and procedures
  • Purchase office supplies and equipment
  • Negotiate prices and manage contracts with office vendors
  • Manage office general and administrative (G&A) budget, and ensure accurate and timely reporting
  • Address employee queries relating to office management issues (e.g., stationery)
  • Manage relationships and liaise with vendors including cleaning, catering, and security services
  • Administer keys and passcodes to alarm system for all new employees
  • Assist with various projects as required

  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Knowledge of office management responsibilities, systems, and procedures

Experience:

  • Proven office management, administrative or assistant experience
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in insurance industry is an asset

Required education:

  • High school or equivalent
