Joshua Brown

My name is Joshua Brown, and I am the Managing Partner at Billyard Insurance Group. Fun fact about me, when I was 16 years old I put out a solo album, and I still have tons of copies left! I got into the insurance industry because when I was working construction, I knew there had to be a position out there where I didn’t have to wait until 9:15am to have a 15 minute coffee. My Mother In-Law was working with an insurance company and had been for 10 years, she explained she got to have a coffee any time she wanted so my interest peaked. In all seriousness I had always noticed how many people my Mother In-Law knew, clients were always running into her where ever she went, she was apart of their lives. I had an opportunity to be that same figure, someone who can be the reason why others can live easy knowing that they have the coverage in place to protect them from the most sensitive of times. Since I made that jump, I made this “job” apart of me and who I was as a person, insurance was the career I had been looking for and it excited me. When I am not working, I usually spend my days off cooking meals that take longer to clean up after than they do to prepare and eat. My family is everything to me, I believe they took on this career choice as much as I had, they have always been supportive when I have to reach out to client on a Sunday or put together a policy late in the evening. My family is my biggest personal accomplishment; the birth of my 2 children KJ and Caroline, along with marrying the woman who gave birth to them while I just stood there with my eyes closed. I am very lucky to have my wife Sarah in my life, she takes care of 3 kids I feel more often then just 2. My biggest professional accomplishment is easy for me, it was when I decided I want to “Think Big” and bring Billyard Insurance to the Sudbury. I am so excited to have opened our doors and give the “Nickel City” a brokerage that is ready to put their best interest at heart.
